In mid-December we heard rumors that a potential fifth team-up between developer Platinum Games (Vanquish and Bayonetta) and publisher SEGA could occur this year. This morning, those rumors were solidified into fact, as the fifth game in the four-game publishing contract between Platinum Games and SEGA was announced: Anarchy Reigns.
A third-person multi-player brawler, Anarchy Reigns comes to us with modes like Tag Team, Battle Royal, and more in Autumn of 2011 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 gaming consoles. I have high hopes that Platinum Games will live up to the incredibly high expectations set by the quality of Bayonetta and Vanquish, two of my favorite games of 2010, and reproduce the same feeling of sheer, unadulterated, absolute fun.
No other information has been released yet, but you can bet your sweet ass that I’ll be keeping my eyes open when it comes to anything from Platinum Games.
