Marooners’ Talk: Episode 007 – “GIR! Why was there bacon in the soap?!”

Why, indeed? Episode 007 of the critically acclaimed (not really) Marooners’ Talk podcast, titled “GIR! Why was there bacon in the soap?!” is done and ready for your listening pleasure! This episode again features the dulcet tones of Chris and Lindsey only, since none of our writers like us enough to chat with us about cool stuff for an hour (insert sad face so sad that a simple emoticon could not hope to convey the truly Homeric sadness felt at this abandonment here).

Episode 007 congratulates the winners of the Episode 006 Marvel vs. Capcom 3 contest, followed by a brief reminder of our upcoming Achievement April event. When we hit the meat and potatoes of the podcast, you get to hear all about the upcoming Silent Hill movie sequel, the ridiculous new X-Men: First Class posters, a brief sneak peek at an upcoming X-Men only podcast, a whole lot of information about the Tomb Raider movie reboots (by whole lot…we mean absolutely nothing), the Nickelodeon reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Charlie Sheen’s Funny or Die cooking show self-parody, ThinkGeek’s Death Star Cookie Jar, the story of a man who was temporarily banned not only from EA/BioWare’s forums but from Dragon Age 2 itself for 72 hours as well, Rango: The Videogame, PAX East, and more. We also answer a listener question about games that have frustrated us so much that controllers have been thrown, with Ecco the Dolphin, Bionic Commando Rearmed 2, Halo 2, and Beyond Good & Evil HD all earning honorable mentions.

Our next community game night is TONIGHT! The game will be You Don’t Know Jack on the Xbox 360, starting at 7:00pm PST. Add xPsylocke to play!

As always, you can listen below, or you can subscribe in iTunes (and now, I think, in the Zune marketplace as well).
