Giveaway: Metro 2033 Prize Pack + Metro 2033 (Steam)

WINNERS ANNOUNCED: Congratulations to JD Blosser for winning the prize pack of the Metro 2033 Steam code and the Gas Mask, and to Aaron Stewart for winning a Metro 2033 Steam code! Thanks for participating, and good luck next time!

About a month ago, we gave away a code to download Metro 2033 on Xbox LIVE Games on Demand. That was just to whet your appetites for Metro, because we have got a LOT of Metro 2033 left to give. Metro 2033, for those unfamiliar with the title, is a first-person shooter survival horror game, taking place in post-apocalyptic Moscow’s metro rail system. The sequel, Metro: Last Light, will be releasing in 2013, and will continue the story from Metro 2033, making this a great chance for you to catch up on the series in anticipation of its continuation. Take a look at the recently released 13-minute gameplay footage for Metro: Last Light, then enter to win. One winner will receive a Steam code for Metro 2033 AND a Metro Gas Mask (pictured below), while one winner will receive a Steam code for Metro 2033.

The contest starts now and runs through 12:01am EST Monday, July 30th. This is 9:01pm PST Sunday, July 29th, so make sure you latecomers enter on time!

Good luck, and keep in mind you can only take advantage of the full range of entries once. We will be disqualifying entries that try to get around the system.

I was very impressed with the 13 minutes of Metro: Last Light gameplay featured during E3 2012. The design of Metro: Last Light, from the stunning vistas of Moscow’s destroyed cityscape down to the rugged and practical appearance of the Metro-made weapons, seems more engrossing than its predecessor. I am looking forward to Metro: Last Light with much anticipation. Thanks for the contest Marooners’ Rock, hopefully I’ll get my hands on that gas mask!

About Marooners’ Rock

Everyone grows up; this is how the world works. Just because we grow decrepit and old, however, does not mean we have to forsake the things that make us happy, childish though they may seem. This is the core concept of Marooners’ Rock; we geek out on the things of our past, present, and future. Society and cultural norms be damned!
