A World of Keflings Gets Avatar FameStar Update

A World of Keflings Gets Avatar FameStar Update

It’s no secret that we’re unabashed fans of NinjaBee Games’ Keflings titles. We were lucky enough to have a chat with NinjaBee’s Andrew Hill (PR/Marketing) a couple of weeks ago about the upcoming update, DLC, and more. As of last Friday, the Avatar FameStar update for A World of Keflings is live and bringing a slew of new challenges and gameplay experiences to your Keflings world. Additionally, the update contains a bugfix that now allows your avatar props to appear in the game by using the prop emote or by letting your avatar idle in an open area.

The update brings with it Avatar FameStar integration, which means a bunch of challenges and quests. Some of these can be done in the Keflings main campaign, while others can be done in the DLC, and some can be done in the newly introduced Rockstar Weekly Challenge kingdom. The Rockstar kingdom introduces the Rockstar Kefling and his Tour Bus home (similar to Ratbeard’s ship), and provides you with one quest per week of the year. Each completed quest earns you Fame in the Avatar FameStar framework, as well as a blueprint for one of more than 50 unique ships.

Yeah, ships. You can now build docks for Keflings-sized ships to sail from. They’ll hug the coast, and just sail around your kingdom. It’s not really terribly functional, but it’s pretty damn awesome. Now, with this update framework in place, it’s only a matter of time before the Sugar, Spice and Not So Nice DLC makes its way to the market as well. Make sure you log in and grab this update quickly, because the first week’s challenge ends sometime tonight, and you won’t be able to grab it for a whole year!

About Marooners’ Rock

Everyone grows up; this is how the world works. Just because we grow decrepit and old, however, does not mean we have to forsake the things that make us happy, childish though they may seem. This is the core concept of Marooners’ Rock; we geek out on the things of our past, present, and future. Society and cultural norms be damned!
