Story Contest: Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 (PS3)

Story Contest: Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 (PS3)

It’s been a while since our last run of contests, but worry not, for we have returned with precious goods! The latest in Konami’s line of technical football simulations, Pro Evolution Soccer, is available here on the Playstation 3 platform. We have two copies available. We’re going to be doing things with a slight twist, this time, as we’re allowing the tweet entry to be performed once per day, as opposed to just once. It’s worth one point per tweet, so make sure you come back and mark your points to boost your chances!

Now for the contest…tell me a story about the picture below:

The contest starts now and will run through the end of Thursday, February 14th. The winner will be announced Friday, February 15th. Make sure you get your entries in via comment, Twitter, and Facebook!

I’ll tell you a ghost story about a football player. It happened a few years back at a Championship game.It was a very exciting match but ended in a draw and the game went to a shootout. The last player was up and the game was tied. The player closed his eyes, mumbled something, gave a sprint;then fell to the floor. The ball went in and the team won the game. The stadium erupted in celebration and then into silence. He was laying there motionless on the field. The player had died making the winning goal. His heart simply stopped beating doctors said. And today some people have said they’ve seen the same player out in the field.Still playing the game.I never believed the stories. Until today when I saw the pictures.

This is Gary, his parents always wanted him to be a football player but he always had dreams of becoming a model but using his head to hit the ball for so many years had ruined Gary’s boyish good looks. In Gary’s mind if he wanted to live out his dream and please his parents there was only one thing he could do…… get a second head surgically installed with a much more handsome face. Now Gary can live out his dream and please his parents.

Gary died two weeks after this picture was taken.

About Marooners’ Rock

Everyone grows up; this is how the world works. Just because we grow decrepit and old, however, does not mean we have to forsake the things that make us happy, childish though they may seem. This is the core concept of Marooners’ Rock; we geek out on the things of our past, present, and future. Society and cultural norms be damned!
