Peggle 2′s surprise announcement evoked in me an undeniably strong feeling of…odd, I can’t seem to remember the word that best describes the overwhelming wave of emotion that washed over me. It was definitely not sadness or anger. There was a bit of fear, perhaps, in anticipation of the amount of time I knew I would eventually spend playing Peggle 2, but that was not the dominant feeling. It was primarily something in the ‘happy’ range of emotions, but more powerful and giddy than ‘happy’ could ever hope to convey. Ah! I recall it now. Peggle 2′s surprise announcement evoked in me an undeniably strong feeling of JOY. Read the full story
As you know, we love handing out codes for games, whether they’re Xbox 360 codes, PS3 codes, PC codes, or others. Today Marooners’ Rock and Suba Games have teamed up to give out 1,000 codes for the upcoming Closed Beta Lucent Heart. The Closed Beta starts on December 12th. You can read more about the game and how to get your beta code below.
Now what are we going to do with that many codes? We’ll be giving the codes to the first 1,000 people who fill out the form I provided in the url at the bottom of this post. We were going to use a plug-in that would grant 1 code per IP, but the plug-in isn’t working at this time. If the application starts to work again we’ll be putting the codes in that system, but for the mean time follow the info below.
What is Lucent Heart about?
Lucent Heart is a free-to-play MMORPG with an emphasis on relationship building between players. Whether players decide to search for ancient treasures or dance the night away in Therreal City square, a magical and action-packed journey is no less than expected in the lands of Acadia. The global Closed Beta event will be host to a slew of new content such as new zones and dungeons to explore, new threats to face, new weapons and armor to obtain, but most of all, the highly coveted player housing!
The Global English release of Lucent Heart will bring you endless hours of fun and excitement through these exclusive features:
The Cupid System; An extensive matchmaking system to help players find their soul mate
A marriage system for soul mates including the ability for same-sex marriage
A new chapter in the Lucent Heart story to dive into with a fresh and compelling social community accepting of all types of players
A Babylonian inspired zodiac system that adds new levels of challenge and complexity on the battlefield
And finally, a new highly-anticipated feature; Player Housing. Players will be able to acquire their own in-game houses that are fully customizable, sociable and constantly evolving
The new player housing feature allows players to fully customize a room of their own. This customization includes things such as furnishing, wallpaper and even lighting. The more stylish the player’s house is the more style points they will be awarded. Players will also be able to create their own treasure hunt games in their houses and compete in teams with their friends for rewards and high scores!
Players will also be able to explore a new feature called the Faith System. This is similar to the current Astrolabe Tree system found in Lucent Heart in the sense that you are able to learn new abilities that cater to either light or darkness. In order to activate those skills players must acquire either Light or Dark Faith Points by performing tasks for Theia and Cadena. Will players travel the path of light or the road of darkness? We can’t wait to find out!

For a while now I’ve been playing the game Shin Megami Tensei IV, which released on the 3DS. I can honestly say that I wasn’t sure what to expect since I’m new to the series, since the only other Shin Megami Tensei game I played was Soul Hackers. with the amount of time I’ve put into the game already I had a great time with that game, but Shin Megami Tensei IV brought me into a new world to experience and a new way to play.
Will Shin Megami Tensei IV be the must own 3DS game for JRPG fans? Will the game cause sleepless nights? Let’s find out!
When it comes to games I’m always on the lookout for a one that may or may not kick my ass as I play it. One game I’ve been playing lately has been the game Sanctum 2, which you can find on Xbox Live and Steam. If you have ever wanted a game that was part first person shooter and tower defense, then Sanctum 2 is the game for you! I can state now this is an addicting game to play whether you’re alone or have friends online playing as well. The amount of time I’ve put into this game is quite crazy, and I haven’t even beaten the final level yet. It has me trying to think up new ways to stall the enemies as they try to reach their goal. Of course by the time they get half way most are dead unless they’ve been super charged to totally kick my ass. Read the full story
With any game including Call of Duty we know that DLC is incoming at some point. I’m hoping that at least the first DLC lands soon on the game Call of Duty: Ghosts, which will provide more fun between me and friends online. Today, it seems there was a slight screw up in the terms of a mass email that went out to Call of Duty fans. The said email that you can view below lists that names of the upcoming possible DLC packs.
This email was sent to fans, but shortly after the email has been coming in without the names of the possible map packs. It’s sad news that the email was pulled, but when it comes to something being on the internet it’s already there for all to view so this picture will most likely spread like a wildfire. If you’ve been wondering what the DLC may or may not be called just look at the picture provided below. At this time we’ll be taking these names as rumor until officially announced by the company.
Picking out a new pet can be challenging, especially when it comes to KITTIES! They’re all so cute and fluffy and full of love and snuggles and glitter and rainbows. The biggest problem is picking one that is a good personality fit for your household and is aesthetically pleasing. Some people are better suited to a docile lap cat, others would rather have a feisty cat that can’t stop playing with everything it finds that even remotely resembles a string. You have to decide if you prefer something exotic like a hairless cat, or a conventional striped tabby. Or perhaps a cat in more of a pink hue with a airy, almost floaty personality is more your style. Maybe one with an affinity for spectacular jewelry, corsets and petticoats? Such a fabulous feline may not exist in the real world, but in Super Mario 3D World it is a very real possibility. Read the full story
I love games that challenge my reaction time! I normally download games on my iPhone that are similar to SpeedX 3D and I play them on the go all the time. Now, I can enjoy a fast paced game that allows me to maneuver around a track dodging objects. The game utilizes 3D graphics to make the game unique and more compelling. Read the full story
Picture it: a dark Sunday night and the stormy sky is the murky color or an Irish stout. I’m sitting in my old red pickup truck in the parking lot of a church, trying to calm my nerves just a bit before I head in. I have heavy purple bags under my eyes and my beard, while still maintaining its normal burly magnificence is looking unkempt. This isn’t my first meeting, but it’s been a while since I’ve been to one and I’m nearly shaking I could use a fix so badly. The building looks like it’s abandoned, but a hazy yellow glow comes from the basement windows that surround the building’s perimeter. Read the full story
My first instinct when sitting down to write this preview of Super Mario 3D World is to simply write “Kitty suits. ‘Nuff Said”. Watching Mario and other members of his gang grab one of those shiny golden bells to don a cat suit could be ranked quite easily in one of my top favorite moments in gaming. Things get even cuter (if can believe that’s possible) when you complete a level in the cat suit and let out a hearty “MEOW!” to announce your victory. The newly introduced cat suit does have uses other than making you scream “AWWWW” and smoosh your face up in an unflattering expression. With it you can climb just about any surface in the game and easily attack enemies with your mighty claws. Read the full story
Everyone grows up; this is how the world works. Just because we grow decrepit and old, however, does not mean we have to forsake the things that make us happy, childish though they may seem. This is the core concept of Marooners’ Rock; we geek out on the things of our past, present, and future. Society and cultural norms be damned!
