Review: Doctor Who Wave One Bundle (PS Home)

I’m not what one would call an avid fan of PlayStation Home. I’ve been aware of it for about half a decade, and I had a few opportunities to experience it shortly after its launch, but it’s not something that ever hooked me. I had used PC based avatar chat rooms in the past (the mid 90s), and I had been a hardcore IRC user since the early 90s, but much to Home’s detriment, I had met my future wife at the end of 2007, and my online chatting presence fell by the wayside. It may seem like I’m rambling, but I’m simply providing a bit of context: I don’t use Home not because I have no interest in the technology, but because maintaining an online chat presence required a time investment than I was simply no longer interested in providing. New Achievements Show Up for Forza Horizon

I really enjoyed playing the game Forza Horizon when it released in 2012. There was nothing like finding awesome cars and racing them around the world. How many cars have your purchased in-game? Don’t get me started on the music either! Thanks for Forza Horizon I’ve added a lot of bands to my favorite list and often listen to them daily. The Forza franchise has always been a good one. Plus as of late the word is that the next Xbox will have a Forza game released for it. Now what’s this news about new achievements for Forza Horizon?

Review: Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan (3DS)

Lately I’ve been glued to my new 3DS XL, ranging from pre-installed software to games like Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan, and more. As you can guess I’ve been playing a lot of Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan, and I’ve been enjoying my self. A game like this will most likely have a lot of features, being a dungeon crawler, and boy have I enjoyed those type of games. At this time I’ve lost count on how many hours I’ve put into the game and I take that as a good sign. Would you want a game that keeps you hooked? Read the full story

Review: Ni No Kuni (PS3)

Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is a difficult game to talk about, not simply because of the mechanical side of the game, although that part is amazing, but because it is a difficult game to play emotionally. I have referred to it as “brutal” many times while talking to others about it. After many false starts and trying to write about Ni No Kuni as I would a normal review, I decided to address the parts of the game that make it so outstanding and unusual as both a game and a work of art. About Marooners’ Rock

Everyone grows up; this is how the world works. Just because we grow decrepit and old, however, does not mean we have to forsake the things that make us happy, childish though they may seem. This is the core concept of Marooners’ Rock; we geek out on the things of our past, present, and future. Society and cultural norms be damned!

For more detail, please see our About page.
