Green Day + Angry Birds = Green Day Themed Angry Birds on Facebook

How many of you have played Angry Birds? It’s available on almost every electronic device known to man, from mobile phones to Facebook, and has some interesting news for its fans. Green Day will be making its way into a Green Day themed version of Angry Birds. I’ll admit, at first I was skeptical, but after checking it out, I was quite pleased. You can find more details about the game at its official website, like what to expect and what you might get by playing. I, for one, am looking forward to playing Angry Birds while listening to Green Day! Read the full story

Ghost Recon Assaults Facebook

It’s no secret that I am pretty damn excited for Ubisoft’s upcoming Tom Clancy shooter, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. When I got my hands on it at last year’s E3, I fell in love, and that feeling has not subsided; rather, it has grown as time has passed. Now, Ubisoft, via developer Loot Drop, is giving us Ghost Recon on Facebook, with Ghost Recon Commander. Normally, I wouldn’t really care about this kind of thing, because I’m just not a huge fan of Facebook games. Even Heroes of Neverwinter was only able to hold my attention for so long, and I am a sucker for Neverwinter. I care about Ghost Recon Commander, though, because playing it can help unlock exclusive items and bonuses for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Boost my GR:FS gameplay by farting around on Facebook while I’m at the office? Yes, please! Read the full story

E3 2011: Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes of Neverwinter

I rarely let Facebook games dominate me in the way they seem to dominate others. Farmville was a passing phase, along with some other social house/city style game. There was a competitive geography game that I quite enjoyed, as well as something else that I can’t quite remember at this exact moment, but as you can tell, these games had such a profound effect on me that I can barely even remember one game name, with the rest being completely forgotten. With Atari’s Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes of Neverwinter, all that is going to change. I’ll never be able to get any work done now. Read the full story

Breaking Down the Assassin’s Creed Reveal

Update: A few minutes ago Ubisoft unveiled the upcoming Assassin’s Creed game, Revelations, along with details. How accurate was I? Take a look here!

Authors Note: After I started to write this, two new video reveals have been presented so they will be broken down and analyzed below as well. As future video reveals are released I will continue to update this article.

For a few days the Internet has been buzzing about revealing the next Assassin’s Creed game. On the Facebook Fan Page for the game fans are asked to Tweet and spread the word to their friends, and the more people who “like” the page and tell their friends, the more we will see of the reveal. Right now the Activity Monitor says it’s at 74%, but from what I’ve been able to see I’ve managed to uncover many clues about what Ubisoft has to offer next.

Video Games & Cheetahs?

When I think of video games, I certainly do not think of cheetahs. And, I most definitely do not think of saving animals. Apparently when Sony Online Entertainment thinks of one, however, they think of the other!

About Marooners’ Rock

Everyone grows up; this is how the world works. Just because we grow decrepit and old, however, does not mean we have to forsake the things that make us happy, childish though they may seem. This is the core concept of Marooners’ Rock; we geek out on the things of our past, present, and future. Society and cultural norms be damned!
