Orcs Must Die 2 Coming in July


Moments ago it was announced that Orcs Must Die 2 will be coming July 30th, 2012 via the Orcs Must Die Twitter. Have you not played Orcs Must Die yet? You’re missing out! Want a little caught up on what the franchise is about? Of course you do! Orcs Must Die is a game which puts players and friends into battle against the titular orcs and more. What’s the goal of the game? Kill as many orcs as you can without your main base being destroyed. Review: Orcs Must Die! (XBLA)


There are fantasy worlds in which orcs are noble creatures. Valiant, peaceful, and in harmony with nature, these orcs are worthy of respect and admiration. While I do appreciate the effort that has gone in to bringing a modicum of civility and gentility to a stereotypically barbarous and bloodthirsty race, my orcs of choice have always been, and always will be, Tolkien orcs. Orcs Must Die!, as you may be able to extrapolate from the name, pits you against the best of orcs, Tolkien orcs. They’re vile, bloodthirsty, and overwhelmingly numerous…and I couldn’t be more pleased. Read the full story

Robot Announces First Original Game, Action-Strategy “Orcs Must Die”


I like a good Tower Defense game; at least, I like it for about half an hour before I get bored sitting there just building structure after structure. If I wanted to do that, I’d have been an engineer. Why can’t I have it both ways, killing waves of baddies with my towers and killing waves of baddies with my BARE HANDS? Having just announced their first original game, the action-strategy (read as tower/trap defense with third-person action) game, “Orcs Must Die,” the guys over at Robot Entertainment seem to agree.
